This class builds on the knowledge and skills attained in the Art 1 curriculum, bringing their portfolios to the next level. After setting a strong foundation for color theory and value, students will apply those skills to more projects.
Your child will use their color knowledge for watercolor landscape paintings and pastel self-portraits. They will also build on their understanding of value through an intense black and white stippling design. Students have the opportunity to work with clay, including the design and building of a hand-built coil pot. They will also explore ink and watercolor pencil as they complete an architectural type drawing.
