Children’s Art Classes offers a studio-based fine arts program featuring a comprehensive nine-month curriculum with weekly instruction in drawing, painting, design, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, and more. Recognized for the exceptional work of its students, this award-winning program provides a rich and diverse education across more than 40 areas of art. Designed for children ages three and up, our classes nurture creativity, develop technical skills, and inspire a lifelong love of the arts.

For just $50, your child can attend one art class in September. If you love it (and we think you will!), we’ll deduct that $50 from your first month’s tuition when you enroll in a monthly package on or before September 30, 2025.

Offer valid for a single class on September 2025. Offer not eligible for previous orders and cannot be combined with other offers. Once purchased, we’ll contact you to add your child to a specific class. (Subject to availability). May be used for multiple students. $50 can be credited toward a monthly package purchased on or before 9/30/25.

How it works

Pick a weekly class time that fits your schedule based on your child’s age (see below). Register your child.

Costs:

  • Registration – $50 (one time)
  • Supply Fee – $150 (one time)
  • Tuition – $159 / month (Sep – May) – Prorated
  • Homeschool Note: We are an approved vendor with Ocean Grove Charter School (Vendor No.: IEM25748). Families can use their instructional funds to enroll in our classes.

Teachers

Cheu Wong

Cheu Wong

With a unique blend of artistic talent, technical expertise, and early childhood education experience, Cheu Wong brings a creative and thoughtful approach to teaching art. She holds a B.A. in Art from San Jose State University with a concentration in Pictorial Art, as well as a B.S. in Computer Science from Wichita State University. She also completed early childhood education coursework at De Anza College.

Over the years, Cheu taught art at Montessori Preschool and led community-based art lessons and art playgroups, fostering creativity and cultural appreciation in young children. Her skills span a wide range of artistic disciplines, including painting, drawing, ceramics, graphic design, and textiles. She is also fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, which allows her to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.

Cheu’s goal as an art educator is to inspire students of all ages to explore their creativity, build confidence, and discover joy through artistic expression.

Hyeong Joon Choi

Hyeong Joon Choi

Hyeong holds a B.F.A. in Visual Development from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and brings over six years of freelance experience in the art industry. His work spans local art studios, independent entertainment studios, advertising, and promoting art education.

Passionate about teaching, Hyeong has also volunteered as a teaching assistant at local art studios in Santa Clara, where he mentored middle and high school students. He shared insights from his college experience, guided portfolio development, and offered advice on admissions and creative careers. This experience inspired him to pursue a graduate degree at San Jose State University in Teaching Credential and an M.A. in Teaching to further his impact in art education.

Hyeong’s art journey is fueled by curiosity, passion, skill, and dedication to education and innovation. He strives to inspire the next generation through innovative art education, blending traditional and modern techniques to nurture lifelong creativity, confidence, and joy.

Alongside his passion for art, Hyeong occasionally engages in songwriting and music production to complement his artworks.

Lucky & Shirly Effendi

Lucky is a seasoned IT professional with over 15 years of experience leading digital transformations, enhancing operational efficiency and driving innovation in global organizations. His experience in fostering collaborative environments and streamlining processes equips him to create a space where children can thrive and explore their full potential.
Shirly, with her lifelong passion for art and design, earned a degree in Graphic Design. After spending over a decade working in both design studios and as a freelancer, Shirly became a full-time homemaker, dedicating herself to homeschooling the children.

For us, art is much more than just a creative outlet—it’s a vital part of a child’s development. Art encourages emotional expression, fuels imagination, and enhances critical thinking. We’re passionate about creating an environment where children can explore their artistic potential, building confidence and fostering lifelong skills through creativity.
