Aqsa is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose practice spans painting, drawing, ceramics, printmaking, and weaving. She holds a bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Arts in Teaching from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Her work is deeply inspired by her own South-Asian heritage, Aqsa’s personal work explores themes of identity, family, and cultural memory across a wide range of media.
Aqsa discovered her passion for teaching at a young age and has been nurturing creativity ever since. She is dedicated to inspiring young artists to explore their creativity with confidence and curiosity. She is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where students feel supported to take artistic ricks, and express themselves freely.
