Location: Children’s Art Classes – Alexandria, VA

Start Date: Immediately

Pay: $40–$45/hour (based on experience)

Hours: 10–20 hrs/week

We’re opening a brand‑new CAC studio in Alexandria, VA and looking for passionate, creative art teachers who love helping kids grow through hands‑on visual arts. You’ll teach small classes, follow a structured curriculum, and help young artists build confidence in a warm, supportive environment.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Teach hands‑on visual arts classes using our structured curriculum
  • Adapt lessons to meet students’ needs and skill levels
  • Assess student progress and provide supportive feedback
  • Maintain a safe, positive, well‑managed classroom
  • Communicate with families as needed to support student success

Qualifications: 

  • Certified art teacher (retired teachers with prior certification encouraged to apply)
  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience in art education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or Fine Arts
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Confident classroom management
  • Comfortable implementing a structured curriculum

Instructional Details: 

  • Ages 3 and up
  • Small classes — maximum 12 students

Schedule & Contract: 

  • 10–20 hours per week
  • Seasonal, school‑year, or ongoing assignments
  • Job Type: Art Instructor
