Location: Children’s Art Classes – Alexandria, VA
Start Date: Immediately
Pay: $40–$45/hour (based on experience)
Hours: 10–20 hrs/week
We’re opening a brand‑new CAC studio in Alexandria, VA and looking for passionate, creative art teachers who love helping kids grow through hands‑on visual arts. You’ll teach small classes, follow a structured curriculum, and help young artists build confidence in a warm, supportive environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach hands‑on visual arts classes using our structured curriculum
- Adapt lessons to meet students’ needs and skill levels
- Assess student progress and provide supportive feedback
- Maintain a safe, positive, well‑managed classroom
- Communicate with families as needed to support student success
Qualifications:
- Certified art teacher (retired teachers with prior certification encouraged to apply)
- Minimum 5 years teaching experience in art education
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or Fine Arts
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Confident classroom management
- Comfortable implementing a structured curriculum
Instructional Details:
- Ages 3 and up
- Small classes — maximum 12 students
Schedule & Contract:
- 10–20 hours per week
- Seasonal, school‑year, or ongoing assignments
