Children’s Art Classes opened our studio in Chapel Hill in January 2026! We are currently accepting applications for a Saturday teaching position during the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a certified art teacher, with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience.
The qualifications for this position include the following:
- Organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, including electronically with owner and other teachers
- Ability to implement a set curriculum
- Classroom management skills
Classes will be located in our Timberlyne studio in North Chapel Hill. We are looking for a teacher to teach from 10am-2:15pm on Saturdays starting in the fall of 2026. You would need to get there by 9:30am, and there would be an opportunity to stay until 4:15 to assist with prepping materials for the upcoming week. We may also have summer opportunities available this coming summer and weekend birthday parties and workshop opportunities. These positions are part time, 6-10 hours per week depending on enrollment. A background check is required and you will receive a W-2.
The school will have small class sizes limited to 12 students per class. There are two classrooms, and the environment will be used by other classes and teachers during the week.
We provide all necessary supplies and a comprehensive curriculum serving students from preschool age through high school and beyond. Continuous professional development is a part of our commitment, with ongoing training requirements which you will be paid for completing.
