I’m Ali and I love teaching art! My favorite part about teaching is getting to know each of my students and watching them grow as artists. I truly believe that everyone is an artist and self-expression is such an important part of life. That’s why I love showing my students a variety of skills, introducing them to new mediums, and watching them learn different ways that they can express themselves through art.
I was born and raised in Boise and one of my favorite memories as a kid was going to Art in the Park each year. I studied Art History at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles and I have an M.A. in Scenic Design from Cal Poly Humboldt.
My favorite art mediums are soft pastels, oil painting, and ceramics. When I’m not teaching, you can find me fostering litters of kittens for a local animal shelter or designing and painting sets for theater productions.
