Location: Children’s Art Classes – Hanover, MA
Start Date: Immediately for Substitute Duties and Training; July for Summer Instruction; October for Assigned Saturday Class
Pay: $28–$32/hour (based on experience)
We are currently accepting applications to fill our Upcoming Saturday Art Instructor position. We are looking for a certified art teacher with instructing and classroom management experience. Hiring, training, and substitute duties would begin immediately. This position will also be required to share the load of Instructing Summer Workshop/Camps with our other CAC teachers. Saturday classes Instruction will begin October 2026.
All supplies and a full, structured curriculum are provided.
Classes are small and capped at 12 students per class.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or a BFA (required)
- In-classroom teaching experience
- Curriculum delivery experience
- Classroom management, organizational, and effective communication experience
- Extensive experience working with young children
- Pass a criminal background check

Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work three Saturday’s (typically 4 hours); other teachers may fill in for planned absences or emergencies
- Attend weekly one-hour remote CAC staff synchronization meeting; first meeting of every month is in-person
- Availability to serve as an occasional weekday evening substitute; typically no more than once per month
- Must assist other staff with Summer Camp coverage; Typically one-two weeks over the Summer (see Summer Camp schedule on our website)
- Willingness to help at special events, open houses, and birthday parties within reason
