My name is Billy. Ever since I was young, I have been passionate about various forms of art including drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, and pottery. After earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from MTSU, I pursued my Master of Arts in Teaching (Elementary Education) from Western Governor’s University.
My teaching career has been diverse. My journey began as a community educator, substitute teacher, resident artist for over 10 years, and a firefighter for 15 years. For the past three years, I have been dedicated to guiding and inspiring young minds as an art teacher in the Rutherford County School District.
In my personal artwork, I take great pleasure in celebrating diversity and different cultures. I strive to impart this same appreciation to my students through unique and engaging methods. My core belief is centered on empowering children to explore, fostering their confidence, and enabling self-expression through the wonderful world of art. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to cultivate meaningful connections with all the bright and talented students at Children’s Art Classes.
